What is hosting?

Hosting is what you require to place a website on the internet, without a web hosting provider you will not be able to see your website on the web.

Is my ISP my Hosting Company?

A hosting company eg Hosting Impact provides a server that places your website on the world wide web (Internet).

An ISP or Internet Service Provider eg Westnet allows you (on your computer) to log onto the internet and surf the web, receive and check emails etc.

Why can't I see my website?

Check that you can actually surf the web, eg try other common websites.....your ISP may be experiencing difficulities and you may not be actually on the web.

Is you website uploaded to the Server?
