Why do I need a Domain Name?

To have a professional website presence on the internet you will require a Domain Name eg our Business name is Hosting Impact our domain names are www.hostingimpact.com, www.hostingimpact.com.au, hostingimpact.net.au, hostingimpact.net, hostingimpact.info, hosting-impact.com

Which Domain Name is best for me?

Which domain name you choice is dependent on you and your business however keep in mind that a .com (.net .biz .info) are international domain names and .com.au (net.au etc) are Australian domain names which require an ABN to register and are governed by AUDA Regulations.

Remember to keep you domain name as short as possible so people can remember it easily but at the same time is a refection of your Business Name

What do I need to register a Domain Name?

For International domain names eg .com, .net you require a contact name, address, phone, and email address.

To register an Australian Domain Name eg .com.au , net.au you are required to have Registered Business which will entitle you to a ABN, ACN etc. AUDA is the governing body for Australian Domain Names and it is the body that approves any new domain name registrations.

Domain Name Renewal

If you have purchased a hosting package with Hosting Impact and we registered your domain name for you we will renew your domain name each renewal period upon hosting package renewal.

If you had your Domain Name before hosting with Hosting Impact you are wholly responsible for the renewal of your domain name unless you transfer the domain name to one of Hosting Impact Registrars which enables us to be notified when the domain names are due for renewal.
